New teachers alert!

August 9, 2018

As most of you know, in the past there've been no classes when I went away on holiday or was on training. Now that we've got a space outside of my home I can welcome other teachers to share their yoga with you.

From my own experience as a student, it's been so valuable working with more than one teacher. Every teacher has their own unique style and voice and will bring something different to their classes. I hope you will embrace the opportunity to try something new!

I've chosen three teachers who I not only feel are great teachers, but who also have a deep understanding of yoga and a consistent personal practice both off and on the mat.

Alicia has about a million strings to her very accomplished bow. She lives down the road in Poundon near Bicester where she teaches her own classes and retreats at Poundon House. She is an Ambassador for the Lululemon Bicester store and she also runs &Sister, a retreat company bringing fab teachers from all over the UK (and beyond!) to Poundon house to lead immersive weekend retreats. I met her about 18 months ago when we were both taking some further training in Goa. She has become a firm friend and is the sweetest, kindest yogi I know. I'm lucky to teach alongside her at DD+C in Woodstock too where we attend each other's classes when we can! She teaches from her heart and you really feel the love in her classes. I'm so excited to introduce her to you and I know you will just love her and her offerings.

Didem has been coming to my classes at DD+C in Woodstock since I started teaching there 2 years ago. Since then she has qualified as a teacher and continues her studies with the British Wheel of Yoga with whom she will achieve their diploma soon. She favours ashtanga yoga for her own practice although practices different styles and teaches to meet the needs of her students. Didem has such beautiful commitment to her practice and I've always loved her self-enquiry and love of yoga. She can often be found in my dynamic classes where she's always experimenting with new arm balances and inversions. Didem's training with the British Wheel also make her a brilliant teacher of beginners and more alignment based practice. Again, I'm so excited for you to meet her and enjoy her warm spirit and kind heart.

(No pic of Louise but she is super smiley :D)

Louise qualified from the highly acclaimed Yogacampus training in 2011. Since then she has continued her studies with Judith Hanson Lassiter (Restorative yoga, where I also completed restorative training) and Rod Stryker (His own, Para Yoga). I met Louise in the non-yoga world when we worked together at WRAP in Banbury. She was always a sweet, kind person around the office. Smiley and friendly from my first day. She supported me when I set-up classes in Banbury and came along to my home-based classes for a few months. She's taught at various locations around town and I now teach alongside her at Bannatyne's where all the students tell me how wonderful she is! I'm sure you will do the same when I come back from my holidays.
